Gerry Puhara
Owner

Gerry founded Tender Treasures in 1982 when her daughter Claire was born in order to create a career compatible with family life. Previous to owning Tender Treasures, Gerry worked for many years as a motion picture costumer and wardrobe stylist on numerous films, tv commercials and television shows. In 1991, Gerry became interested in the early workings of the internet, and soon after put up the first Tender Treasures website. In 2006, Tender Treasures opened another location solely dedicated to the fulfillment of internet orders.

In addition to Tender Treasures, Gerry also operates another website for her husband's band, Yellowjackets. She also volunteers her time to support many non profit agencies.

Joan Gossett
Sales Associate

Joan has worked for Tender Treasures for 10 years, and is a well known face around the store. Joan lives with a multitude of dogs and cats, and has been known to rollerblade with her grandchildren on the weekends. She's a wild woman, and proud of the fact that she finished the Los Angeles Marathon (in the rain) a few years back.

Megan Ehrlich
Internet Service Representative

Megan is a 3rd year student at Cal State Northridge, where she is studying Biology. She has an amazing ability to find just about anything so I call her my "Where's Waldo" employee. Megan is our GO-TO employee for your internet customer service, as well as the person who gets all the photos up there on the website.

Beckie Sweeney
Sales Associate

Becky is the first identical twin who has worked at Tender Treasures! She says that the positive side of being a twin is her best friend is always there, and somehow knows what she is thinking by just looking at her! She is a student at Glendale Community College in Education, and lists her hobbies as Oil Painting, Playing the Piano and violin, and Irish Dancing. She has taught piano and violin to children at camp, and loves to meeting your kids at Tender Treasures.

Mayra Ramos
Internet Service Associate

Mayra is our newest employee, and will be filling your internet orders as well as answering your phone calls. Mayra is a recent graduate of the Fashoin Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles where she received a degree in Graphic Design. You'll see her in the store two days a week as well, where she enjoys working with the customers.

Erika Roberts
Sales Associate

One of our newest employees, Erika lives just a block from the store! Erika, who attends Glendale Community College has many talents which include guitar, singing, and film editing. Erika was the recipient of the Platinum All-Stars Leadership Award for 2005 through 2006, and was a UCA All Star Cheerleader before that. We are loving her spirit at Tender Treasures and she's always ready to unleash her enthusiasm in the pursuit of helping our customes.

Sharon Kim
Sales Associate

Sharon has joined our staff to learn more about the retail and fashion industry. In addition to working at Tender Treasures, Sharon is a Freelance Graphic Designer, specializing in animation for on-air TV networks. Sharon has an impressive educational background, having graduated with a degree in Environmental Design from Art Center College of Design. she also holds an AAS Degree from New York Parsons School of Design in Fashion.

Guyane Valian
Stock Clerk, Sales Associate

Guyane Valian
Guyane is a Senior at Crescenta Valley High,. She is bilingual, speaking English and Armenian, and some Spanish. Her goal at Tender Treasures is to start saving up for college, and we’re happy to help her do that. Guyane volunteers (where she uses Retail Pro) at the Gift Shop, Japanese Tea House, and Train Station in Descanso Gardens. She is President of HOMES Club (working with Habitat for Humanity) at CV. She was on the Golden Honor Role, and is a participant in the GATE (Gifted and Talented) curriculum.

Marianne Williams
Office Manager And Bookkeeping

Marianne is back! Marianne was our bookkeeper/office manager for five years before leaving a couple of years ago to pursue new opportunities. Lucky for us, she is back at Tender Treasures! Marianne is a graduate of the University of Arizona, the mother of two children Katie and Brian, and one of Gerry's most favorite people. Marianne is back keeping us all straight and organized, making sure the bills are paid on time, and that the lightbulbs are lighting up and the printers are printing. She's invaluable to us! Welcome back Marianne!!

Jennifer
Our Model

Jennifer is our resident FLAX model, graphic designer, and luckily Gerry's friend and next door neighbor. Jennifer is a recent graduate of Art Center School of Design, and the mother of 3 sons, two in college and one in high school. Her real job is media specialist for the Los Angeles Library Foundation.

Steve Posner
Our Computer Guy

Steve keeps out computers humming along, so we don't let you down. His sense of humour is appreciated when the network is down, or when our Retail Pro software does something mysterious. Here....Steve is tearing out his hair with my computer, which he has been nursing along now since the year Y2k.
